Champhai Bethel District's New Champhai Preaching Point was elevated to a full-fledged church today, July 9, Thursday. Rev. R.Laltlankima, District Superintendent, inaugurated the church.

New Champhai Preaching Point was established on July 9, 2017, with 3 families and 12 members. It now has 81 members.

The service was led by SectionalPastor Rev. E. Vanlalpeka Zote. Speeches were given by Evan C Lalpiangthara, Bial Secretary Upa David R Lalsawmtluanga, and others.
Singing performances by local and visiting artists.Delegates from Bethel District churches and neighboring Kahrawt and Hnahlan Districts attended.

A thanksgiving feast was hosted by Upa JMS Tluanga's family in the evening.
