Aizawl East District was formed at the General Conference, Shillong on 31 March – 3 April, On Sunday, May 8, 1994, Rev. Dr. C. Lalrinmawia, Bethlehem Biak Inah, Rev. Fr. K. Satinvela, General Superintendent of Aizawl East District inaugurated the new Aizawl East District in the name of the Lord Jesus. Executive Board members were also present. The next day, May 9, 1994, was celebrated with a feast.
